GM BAME Network, supported by GMCVO, have launched an emergency grants programme to support small (income under £10,000) GM BAME led VCSE organisations and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Between July and December 2020 GM BAME Network will be giving out a total of £225,000 in grants. The grants are funded by Comic Relief and the National Emergency Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grants will fund new activities and services as well as the additional costs of adapting existing services due to COVID-19. The grants will also help counter the loss of fundraising income directly caused by the pandemic.

The first stage is a rolling micro grants programme and is live now. Grants of £50-£1000 will be awarded on an ongoing basis between 27th July and 31st October 2020. Decisions will be made within 3 weeks. A second stage will be launched in September.

An online information and support event is being held on 18th August to help small organisations apply. Register for this event to find out more.
