Free expert support for social entrepreneurs
The charity Expert Impact brings its Human Lending Library to Manchester to support the region's social entrepreneurs.

A great new (and free!) service for social entrepreneurs in the north of England has been announced.
The Human Lending Library, which has been operating in London for a few years now, is opening a second branch at the BIPC centre at Manchester’s Central Library.
Social entrepreneurs looking for business advice can ‘borrow’ a business Expert for free, to help them solve their challenges and scale fast. And they’ve got some pretty impressive Experts – more than 40 – with excellent track records in finance, tech, retail, marketing and other business sectors.
The Manchester branch of the Human Lending Library will be run from the Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) at Manchester Central Library.
“This new partnership with Expert Impact is a great way for our flourishing Business & Intellectual Property Centre at Central Library to further bolster the range of support it provides to local businesses and enterprises, with this attractive offer for those who are working to improve our communities and the environment in Manchester,” said Councillor Luthfur Rahman, Manchester City Council’s Executive Member for Skills, Culture and Leisure.
Sounds like a good idea to us and the application form takes about 10 minutes. More questions? Everything else you need to know is on their website.
